"Upon our children--how they are taught rests the fate-or future of tomorrows world." B. C. Forbes

Maintaining an efficient and safe work environment in the lab and work settings is one of the most important steps to learn.  In our program we try to develop these skills along with all the other skills needed to be successful in the Building Maintenance field.  All the skills taught are skills that students will use the rest of their lives no matter what type of job they have.  These skills are just as useful at home as they are on the job site.

One of the things that we as a program believe is to be involved with every student.  Everybody learns in different ways, so we try to be as effective as we can in the teaching and learning process.  I strongly believe in this statement:

"Tell me and I'll forget, Show me and I may remember, Involve me and I'll understand."  Chinese Proverb

At this time we are in the process of learning proper organizational skills needed in Customer servive work.  During this process we will be do a complete check off on equipment to make sure that its restored back to origanal state.. We will be posting pictures soon.

One of the activities that the Building Maintenance program has been involved with over the last three years is helping at the Pike Community Garden. In the spring of the year we till and plant two 100 x 100 ft. garden spots located at the Bristol Park. Recently we finished harvesting this years crops and cleaned up the areas and put everything away for the winter.
